Apex - Boxed Deck 6"

PRODUCT: 6” Wide Deck

The latest addition to our range is the 6” wide deck. This deck has been refined and perfected over the last year to create a durable, light and well balanced street deck. For riders looking to progress their street riding, this deck is the perfect fit.

Designed and manufactured in Australia, we have used 6082 Aluminium to give this deck a total weight of 1.76kg (22”) and 1.73kg (21”). All hand welded and T6 heat treated, giving you the most durable deck on the market. This deck is available in Black, Red and Raw, featuring our new laser etching design.

As an Apex tradition, the first 250 decks will be numbered creating a memorable experience for the release of this product. 

NEW FEATURES:

The new extrusion has increased the overall strength and kept the weight to a minimum. We have increased the grinding area and concave, and adjusted the dropouts and front cap. 

The front cap has not been made completely square as our design requires internal welding to increase the overall strength of the deck. We have also found through designing and testing, the small angles at the front of the deck are beneficial for riders. It reduces the flexibility of the material, which makes it feel strong, and also gives riders the perfect pivoting point when jumping into blunt slides and crook grinds.  

We have adjusted the dropout design to suit street riding and functionality. The new peg design includes a hex slot so you only need an allen key to tighten your wheel. The peg also features one hole that can be used for leverage when tightening. This design increases the lifespan of the product, as the peg can be rotated when it has been completely used. These pegs will also be available to purchase separately if they are in need of a complete replacement.  

Overall, we have outlined the benefits in our previous products and used them to design this deck. It has been in the designing and testing process for over a year, which has allowed us to meet our standard of quality and ensure the riders feel comfortable and confident when riding.
